Introduction: The Australian Research Funding Landscape

This is the registration page for the introductory session ‘The Australian Research Funding Landscape’. The session will be delivered in a hybrid format, where experts in different funding opportunities will introduce small grants, philanthropy and donations, industry funding, nationally competitive grants and international opportunities. The session will also include case studies and a live Q&A session with UTS researchers who have successfully attracted funding from a variety of sources.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of a range of professional support staff and researchers with experience in obtaining a diversity of external research funding.
Learning outcomes from the introductory session ‘The Australian Research Funding Landscape’:
- Enhanced understanding of the Australian Research Funding sources
- Suitability of funding opportunities for different career stages and research styles
- Awareness of pros and cons for different opportunities
- Importance of funding diversity for a well-rounded academic track record
