One New Play.What happens when seven Western Sydney writers are given three days, three Parramatta locations and the challenge of creating a new play together?Throughout August, Sunny Grace, Kate Jirelle, Dilroop Khangura, Josephine Lee, Pirie Outridge, Linh Pham and Kobra Sayyadi have been brought together for The Parramatta Play Project Workshop — an intensive collaborative playwriting program led by creative producer Augusta Supple.Working across the city in venues such as PHIVE, Hambledon Cottage and the Whitlam Institute at Western Sydney University, the writers have explored Parramatta through its histories, people, places and rapidly changing identity. This public workshop reading offers audiences a first encounter with a new work still in development. Come and hear a new Parramatta play at the very beginning of its life.
