Portraits do more than capture a pretty face - they tell stories, hold secrets, and even illuminate dark histories. 

Join UQ art history expert, Associate Professor Andrea Bubenik, on Thu 9 May as she shares some of the most unbelievable and hidden tales behind incredible portraits from the UQ Art Museum Collection, including a rare work by Frederick McCubbin.

Presented by UQ Arts, Brisbane Portrait Prize, and the UQ Alumni Team, enjoy after-work refreshments, connect with fellow art lovers and learn the secrets of portraits in the beautiful heritage listed Atrium Space at UQ Brisbane City.
