Event description

What's covered:

With restructuring and redundancies hitting local businesses, recruiting might feel like a low priority for you. However, the stats tell a different story:

  • 73% of employers struggle to find relevant candidates (ManpowerGroup)
  • The cost of employee turnover can reach up to 2x an employee's annual salary (Gallup)

Getting your story and brand positioning right in the market today will set you up in the long term as an employer of choice. But how do you stand out from the competition to secure motivated performers who will give 110% and drive your profits?

With this webinar you’ll hear strategies to elevate your brand and recruit the missing piece of the puzzle for your business. Joined by experts from HainesAttract, Strategic Pay, and New Zealand Story, we’ll cover:

  • How an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) can help you swipe the top talent from your competitors and speed up your recruitment process
  • Leading with authenticity to build a social contract that attracts talent whose values align with yours
  • It’s more than just pay – how to hold onto star players without throwing money around

With practical, ready-to-implement strategies and a Q&A session, you’ll gain a competitive edge in today’s talent market, while being prepared for market fluctuations in the future.

Your expert panel:

As CEO of New Zealand Story, David Downs puts New Zealand on the map every day with authentic Kiwi stories and will bring the conversation together.

David is a director on several boards, a TV and radio actor, a semi-finalist for New Zealander of the Year and author of four books. He also founded a not-for-profit initiative to support small businesses during COVID-19.

He will lead the webinar with speakers from two proudly New Zealand-owned and operated businesses.

First, Haines Attract, who since 1981 has helped employers attract and engage the talent they need, and Strategic Pay, an EMA Partner with 30 years of experience in driving remuneration excellence.

Then you are looking to recruit the best talent, how do you standout in a competitive market? Afterall, everyone is looking for the best so why should the best come to you?

Attracting and retaining top talent is about more than just offering a competitive salary. Company culture, purpose, reputation, opportunities for growth, flexibility and job security are all becoming increasingly important for candidates.

That is why developing your Employee Value Proposition (EVP) is so important. A good EVP should resonate deeply with your current and future employees and set you apart from your competitors.

It should provide an authentic, clear, compelling story encapsulating what employees can expect when they join the organisation, highlighting your strengths and values. But what does good look like?

And once you have attracted the top talent, how do you seal the deal with a seamless recruitment process that takes the stress away from all involved and creates a positive first impression.

In this Webinar we’ll talk through the importance of making a statement your EVP, how to use storytelling to reach and attract the highest-quality candidates, and then follow it up with a stress-free recruitment process that dots the i’s and crosses the t’s. This Webinar will explain:
