Sun, 18 May, 12:30pm - 2:30pm AEST

Event description

Join us for a deeply enriching experience where we will come together and journey inwards for an empowering Transformational Breathwork session.

Transformational Breathwork is a form of conscious connected breath, unlocking a pathway to release stagnant emotion, limiting beliefs and blockages that are in the way of feeling fulfilment, joy and creative expression in our life experience.

Arrive at 12:20pm, lay your yoga mat down and connect in with your intention for the breathwork journey. What would you love to expand in your life? By contemplating this question, you can open the gateway of what may need to be shifted to make way for that. At 12:30pm, we'll begin with an introduction of what's ahead, followed by some light movement and a grounding meditation before moving into the transformational breathwork journey.

Along with a selection of tribal, evocative and melodic music curated for the journey, the session will be facilitated with words and instruments intended to give you space to release what’s no longer serving and open to the inspiration that’s expanding from the true, authentic self within.

We'll close with enough time for you to share about your journey with the group if you wish and connect in community.

Who's this for? Anyone that's looking to:

  • Feel empowered and optimistic
  • Gain new insights and inspiration
  • Spark and grow their creative fire
  • Expand awareness and clarity
  • Build self-esteem and self-worth
  • Alleviate stress, anxiety and apathy
  • Cultivate confidence and presence
  • Boost vitality and energy levels

Where did this type of breathwork come from?

The breath has been consciously worked with by ancient cultures around the world from thousands of years ago to alter states of consciousness, self regulate, emotionally heal, explore the self and grow spiritually. In the 1960s, Leonard Orr established Rebirthing Breathwork and Stan Grof developed Holotropic Breathwork which at the core, is a conscious connected style of breath. They found that breathing deeply in and out without pause over time would reduce the activity of the analytical mind and allow them to access deeper states of awareness, gain new insights, release stuck emotion and tension from the body. The work of Leonard, Stan and colleagues set the foundations for many modern breathwork practices such as Biodynamic Breathwork, Breath of Bliss, SOMA Breathwork, the Wim Hof Method, Breakthrough Breathwork and Transformational Breathwork.

Who's the facilitator?

My name is Kevin Adams. I had my first taste of conscious connected breathwork in 2017 where I experienced the Breath of Bliss method on a weekend retreat. A student of inner work for many years, I discovered how experiences in my younger years led to low self-esteem and sabotaging patterns. Over the years i've built a better relationship with myself thanks to a range of personal development tools, a key one being breathwork. I've spent the last ten years working in a variety of corporates and start-ups and in the past year co-organising ecstatic dance events, facilitating large group meditations and transformational breathwork sessions. I've completed certifications in facilitating breathwork, meditation, yoga and mental health first aid training.

Some shares from previous participants who i've facilitated Transformational Breathwork sessions with, "I felt so safe and held by Kev, I was able to go deep, something i've been challenged with in previous breathwork sessions. Release and clarity, I emerged with new perspectives. Super grateful of the experience" ~Emma W."It was such an inviting and safe space to fully let go. The tears were flowing and the groans were groaning. I had surrendered and dropped in completely, it was insane!"~ Eden J.
