Thank you for your interest in being a stallholder at our Trash & Treasure Market!

Below is all the information you will need for the day.  If you are unsure of anything, please don’t hesitate to contact the Event Manager via events@roseyravelston.com.

The Markets

Our Market is an opportunity for people to re-sell goods they no longer need and for customers to shop in a sustainable way.

All items will ideally be secondhand, and should be clean and in good, useable condition.  Limited handmade items from re-purposed materials or potted plants etc may be permitted, but overall this is a secondhand market and customers will be expecting to find a preloved bargain!

Accepted preloved items include:

• Household bric-a-brac
• Kitchenalia
• Clothes
• Jewellery
• DVDs, CDs and records
• Toys
• Books
• Tools
• Collectibles
• Destashed craft materials
• Plants or seedlings propagated from home

Items that will NOT be accepted include:

• Broken or unsafe items
• Electronics
• New products
• Weapons of any kind

Stall Fee

Stalls are $30 each.  This includes a site large enough to accommodate a 1.5x 2m folding table.  If you require a larger space, please purchase 2 or more sites.

Market location

The market will be held in the garden at RoseyRaveslston Books and sites will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  

Stallholders are required to bring all equipment necessary for a successful day, including table, chair, shelter, clothes rack etc.  The bookshop has a limited number of tables and chairs available to use; please contact the Event Manager prior to the day if you would like to borrow these.

Refunds

In the case of inclement weather (rain, heatwave etc declared by BOM), the market will be cancelled and your stall fee will be refunded.  This includes up to one hour after the market has commenced.

If you are unable to attend the market, please advise the Event Manager as soon as possible.  Refunds will be issued up to 48 hours prior to the event.  Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.

Market Day

Bump in is from 9am.  Please allow yourself enough time to set up.

You may park on either Badgery Crescent or San Jose Avenue to unload, but please move your car down the street to free up parking for customers.

The market will run from 10am-2pm and you may begin packing down from 2pm.

Other useful information

There is no ATM onsite and stallholders are responsible for their own sales.  There are different methods of payment available, such as card readers, electronic funds transfers, cash etc.  Stallholders are encouraged to research and organise payment methods prior to market day.

Wifi is available but service can be intermittent.

The garden does not have undercover shade.  Please bring hat, waterbottle etc as you will be outside for a number of hours.  Food and drinks will be available for purchase inside the bookshop.

The garden is uneven and you may not have a level area for your stall.

Please price all items for sale prior to market day and consider any signage, tablecloth, props etc you might need.
