Event description

Vicsport is pleased to be partnering with VicHealth and Basketball Victoria to bring the industry the ultimate wheelchair basketball experience at the State Basketball Centre.

This half-day event will provide participants with a small glimpse into the challenges and experiences a wheelchair users can face when navigating the sports environment - from stadium doors to stadium floors.

Following the ultimate wheelchair basketball experience, participants will be joined by disability sport athletes and industry providers for a panel over lunch.

This opportunity is available to all staff from Victorian State Sport Associations (SSAs), Regional Sport Assemblies (RSAs) and State Sport & Recreation Bodies (SSRBs).

The workshop will include:

  • The ultimate wheelchair basketball experience

  • Navigating the State Basketball Centre in a wheelchair

  • Lunch and learn panel
