Event description

EVERYONE HAS BROKEN TOYS...

What if those broken toys could become a work of art??? Come along to our Upcycled Toys Workshop and build a statue worthy of an art show! Your imagination is the only limit here, turn bits and pieces into a stunning creation that will then be spraypainted GOLD like a precious statue!

This workshop is suitable for all children, but those under 12 must have a parent or guardian there to help them (We'll be using hot glue guns!).

All materials provided, and children can take home their creation! While tickets are free, there are limited places so please book carefully.

The Geeveston Art Show's Artist Development Programme is proudly sponsored by Bendigo's Community Bank Huon Valley and is run to provide local artists and aspiring artists the chance to explore their passion. We encourage you to head to Community Bank Huonville's Socials and give them a like, for funding this programme! Please note that locals will be given priority for places.

Glenda Stasse will be leading the workshop. Glenda has a Working with Vulnerable people card and Current Police Checks.

Glenda Stasse has a background and education in Visual Arts and returned to University to gain her Masters in Mental Health, specialising in Art Therapy for Children and Adults. Glenda moved to the Huon in 2019 and has run art groups all over the Huon, and for Council and Geeveston Community Centre. More recently Glenda has been a literacy tutor for SETAC and working on her own art projects when she has the time.
