Gaming & Online Safety: Virtual Autism MyTime
Event description
MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or autism.
Got a gamer kid? Wondering how to manage screen time in a positive way? Concerned about online safety? Join this MyTime peer group for parents and carers of Autistic children where we’ll explore the benefits of gaming, healthy screen time boundaries and keeping your child safe in the digital world.
There will be opportunity to ask questions, share your experiences, and connect with other parents and carers in a supportive, welcoming environment.
The Autism MyTime peer group was created to support families raising Autistic children. While the topics and guest speakers are tailored to their experiences, we also warmly welcome parents and carers who are:
- Exploring an autism diagnosis for their child, or
- Raising a child with a disability or developmental delay and feel the topic may be relevant to their parenting journey.
During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other. The sessions are held online via Zoom.
By registering for this event you agree you have have read and agreed with the MyTime member consent statement - MyTime Consent Statement
This MyTime Group is facilitated by Kristy, the proud parent of Dash, an inquisitive, gentle-hearted, and wonderfully funny 9-year-old.
