Pinch Pots & Sip at Vitisculpture - A Youth Week Event
Event description
Pinch Pottery & Sip Workshop
Join us for a relaxing and creative evening of pottery, connection, and culture, proudly hosted by ACHL - Tika Tirka and the City of Adelaide as part of Youth Week!
About the Workshop
In this hands-on session, you’ll explore the art of pinch pottery, a simple yet meditative technique for shaping clay into unique vessels. Unlike traditional art spaces, this is a laid-back and welcoming workshop where everyone is encouraged to experiment, unwind, and enjoy the creative process—no prior experience needed!
What to Expect?
This event brings together young people from diverse backgrounds—including international students and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth—to connect, create, and celebrate culture through art. As you mold and shape your clay, enjoy meaningful conversations, shared laughter, and the calming rhythm of working with your hands.
What’s Included?
✔️ Clay, tools, and aprons provided
✔️ Step-by-step guidance from a skilled pottery instructor
✔️ A relaxed, social atmosphere—perfect for beginners and creatives alike
✔️ The chance to take home your own handcrafted piece
🍷 This is a pottery and sip event—while you cannot purchase drinks at Vitisculpture, you are welcome to bring your own beverage (and they do not charge corkage fees).
🎟️ Tickets are $10, but don’t worry—we’ll refund you once you attend! This is just to confirm your spot and ensure everyone gets a chance to join.
