WA Food Policy Forum
WA Food Policy Forum
The Federal government has embarked on the process to create a National Food Security Strategy, Feeding Australia.
This opens a vital window for local governments, community food organisations, citizens and stakeholders from across the food system to come together to hear from each other, discuss the key issues, identify key shared needs and priorities, and engage directly with local, state and Federal policy makers.
Our Food Policy Forums connect food system changemakers, look at what’s working on the ground, and turn shared challenges into collective action, collaboration and momentum.
Join us to hear from leading food system advocates and practitioners, including:
Dianne Haggerty - Natural Intelligence Farming & West Australian of the Year 2025
Verity Morgan-Schmidt - Farmers for Climate Action
Janine Freeman - Fair Food WA
Michelle Broom & Gina Ambrosini - Edith Cowan University
Sharonna Mossenson & Ainslie Sartori - Cancer Council WA
Oral McGuire & Alan Beattie - Noongar Land Enterprise Group
Kathryn Taylor - EON Aboriginal Foundation
Kate O'Hara - Foodbank WA
Nick Rose - Sustain: The Australian Food Network
Who is it for?
Community organisations, Federal and state MPs, local councillors, local government employees and community members passionate about a healthy, sustainable and fair food system for everyone in Australia.
