Wellbelle x MVMT Studio: Learn to Strength Train – 8-Week Program

In partnership with MVMT Studio Manly, we’re proud to launch Wellbelle’s 8-week Learn to Strength Train program designed for women who are new to strength training, want to build confidence in the gym, or are seeking structure, support, and community. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to start, this is it!!

This is more than just a gym program. It’s a guided journey to help you build physical strength, master proper technique, and connect with a like-minded, uplifting community. You’ll finish the 8 weeks feeling strong, confident, and empowered, both inside and out.

This program brings together MVMT Studio’s evidence based training expertise with Wellbelle’s community-first approach to preventive health, creating an experience that not only teaches you how to train but supports your long-term wellbeing through connection, education, and consistency.

Program Details:

  • Location: MVMT Studio, Manly Beach

  • Program Start Date: Saturday, 26th July at 10:30 AM

  • Intro Session: Wednesday, 23rd July at 7:20 PM

  • Duration: 8 consecutive weeks (Saturdays 10:30 -11:30 AM)

  • Celebration Lunch: Saturday, 13th September (optional; additional TBC)

Introductory Session – Wed 23rd July, 7:20pm

Meet your coaches, fellow participants, gain clarity on what strength training is (and isn’t!), and set your goals for the program.

8 x Weekly Strength Training Sessions – Saturdays from 26th July, 10:30am

Progressive, structured training designed to build strength, confidence, and competence week by week.

Nutrition seminar with nutritionist Fi Brady – Sat 26th July, 11:40am–12:30pmJoin Fi Brady for an empowering and educational session on fuelling your body for strength. Learn how to optimise your nutrition to support energy, muscle growth, and recovery.

Workshop on building confidence & overcoming limiting beliefs with Emotional Intelligence Consultant Sherrie Laryse – Sat 9th August, 11:30am–12:30pm

Sherrie will lead an inspiring session exploring the neuroscience behind confidence, mindset, and limiting beliefs. You'll walk away with practical tools to shift thought patterns. We will finish the session with a guided somatic meditation designed to ground these shifts in the body for lasting impact.

Private Group Recovery Session at RCVRI Manly – Sat 16th August, 3–4pm

Enjoy a private group recovery experience at one of Manly’s leading wellness spaces. You'll have access to traditional saunas, cold plunges, a hyperbaric chamber, all designed to support your recovery, reduce stress, and elevate your overall performance.

Celebration Lunch – Sun 14th September (optional; cost TBC)

Program Structure:

Weeks 1–2: Build the Foundations

We will focus on mastering the basics including correct technique and form, foundational sagittal plane movements, and double-leg and double-arm strength exercises performed in a superset format to minimise rest.

Example movements: squats, deadlifts, lunges, hip thrusts, chest presses, bent-over rows, bicep curls, tricep extensions, and shoulder presses.

Weeks 3–8: Progression

Once the basics are established, we will introduce single-leg and single-arm variations, exercises that require more control and stability, and movement through all three planes of motion. We will also provide education on functional strength and injury prevention.

Example movements: lateral lunges, lateral step-ups, curtsy lunges, staggered stance hinges, and single-arm presses with rotation.

Each week builds on the last by introducing new movement variations, tempo changes, range of motion tweaks, and guidance on creating challenge and progression over time. By the end of the program, you’ll feel strong, confident, and capable in the gym, understand key strength training principles, know how to safely progress your own training, and be introduced to the concept of progressive overload - including why strength gains typically begin to show after about six weeks.

About MVMT Studio

MVMT Studio is a boutique strength and conditioning space in Manly Beach offering physio-designed group fitness and Pilates. Founded by Chels, a physiotherapist with over 13 years of experience in sports and musculoskeletal rehab, MVMT is known for its evidence-based, inclusive approach to movement and wellness.

Chels is also a pelvic health physio, Pilates teacher trainer, and has delivered over 10,000 Pilates and exercise sessions to a diverse range of clients from elite athletes to everyday women navigating different life stages. Her mission is to make strength training empowering, effective, and enjoyable - not intimidating.

About Sherrie Laryse

Sherrie is an Emotional Intelligence Consultant with a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and deep training in trauma, psychosomatics, yoga, and meditation. Author of On Path and The Body Talks Back, she is completing a Master’s in Psychological Anthropology, specialising in emotional‑intelligence skills. Her session will integrate science and somatic practice so you leave with tools that reshape both mindset and physiology.

Investment

This full 8-week transformative program is valued at well over $600 but thanks to our incredible partners, we’re offering it to the Wellbelle community at an exclusive rate:

  • Early Bird: $350 + booking fee - register by 5th July (limited spots)

  • Standard Entry: $420 + booking fee

Your investment includes all training sessions, coaching, guest speaker event, recovery experience, strength-focused nutrition guide, group chat, goody bag, and ongoing support. Celebration lunch is optional and not included in the ticket price (cost TBC).
