WINTR Network Lunch and Learn: In Conversation with Carol McKinstry

Join us for a WINTR Lunch and Learn with Carol McKinstry, the first female chair of the Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL) and Deputy Dean of La Trobe Rural Health School, followed by a hot lunch catered by Karen Lady House.

Since Carol's appointment as Chair of the BFNL in 2015, Carol has made a concerted effort to boost the profile of netball in the league. During her time as Chair, Carol has seen clubs which recognise the equal value of netball and football programs become destination clubs for athletes.

Carol is also Chair of the Academic Board and a Professor of Occupational Therapy at La Trobe. Carol has expertise in rural workforces and rural mental health and believes sporting clubs play an important role in fostering social cohesion and preventing ill mental and physical health.

The WINTR Network is an initiative of the City of Greater Bendigo designed to support female-focused networking and mentoring to women working in roles that are typically male-dominated across Greater Bendigo.
