Beyond Balance: Create a Life That Works — At Work and At Home
Overview / What We’ll Cover
“Work-life balance” often feels like an impossible standard, something to achieve perfectly in a world that keeps demanding more.
In this session, we reframe it as something more realistic and meaningful. You’ll explore how mindfulness and values can support conscious choices, greater presence, and a stronger sense of alignment across the different areas of your life.
What You’ll Experience
Rethinking work–life balance in everyday life
Exploring alignment between your values and actions across life domains
Choosing a value and taking a small, practical action, with opportunities to extend over time
What You’ll Take Away
A more realistic and flexible definition of work–life balance
Greater awareness of what matters across your life domains
Clear, values-based actions you can take to feel more aligned and fulfilled
Who This Is For
This session is ideal for individuals who feel stretched, want more clarity across work and home life, and are looking for practical ways to feel more grounded, balanced, and in control
Our next talk in our mindingu Wellbeing at Work Talk series is Mindfulness for the Workplace on 22 September, 2026, 12pm-1pm, in Bunbury.
mindingu Wellbeing at Work Talk Series
Part of our mindingu Wellbeing at Work Talk Series, this talk is one of 12 standalone sessions designed to help participants develop practical skills for wellbeing and resilience. Every talk is self-contained, giving you actionable strategies you can use right away.
For those who explore multiple sessions, the talks progressively build on each other, helping participants develop a deeper, more integrated set of skills that support wellbeing and resilience over time.
Each session is interactive and practical, combining key ideas with activities such as reflection, partner discussions, experiential exercises, and brief mindfulness or ACT-based practices, all grounded in real workplace examples. Participants also receive handouts and, where relevant, audio resources to support continued practice.
