Yoga & Beats Retreat | Waikawa Beach, Kapiti Coast
Description
Yoga teachers Sarah Morley and Freda Wells are teaming up to offer you this coastal yoga retreat, just an hour drive north of Wellington, at Circuit Breaker.
The purpose of this weekend is to support you to deepen your practice, your understanding of the philosophy and psychology of yoga, and to offer you a space to reflect on what these might bring to your life.
“Yoga isn’t just a source of peace and stillness, but an act of resilience. Yoga wasn’t built for comfort, it was built for challenging times. It isn’t what we do when life feels calm: it is what steadies us when it doesn’t. Times of uncertainty, conflict and rapid change are not new to humanity. Each time we return to yoga we are participating in something enduring. The world may feel increasingly unstable, but when you return again and again to yoga, you become the steady point within it.”

We've curated a programme to guide us out of busy minds and back down to our heart wisdom, through practices including breathwork, meditation, twice-daily yoga - even ocean dips! Yoga is a technology designed to assist us to feel fully present, and to upshift energy, emotions and a sense of possibility.
Saturday night we'll get some music and tunes going, so bring your instruments for a jam session!
There will also be a casual discussion circle or two for those who are curious to dive deeper into some key concepts from the foundational yoga texts - an entire system of philosophy and psychology that help to shape a meaningful life. This is about supporting your journey to cultivate inner awareness, meaning, presence and bliss.
All activities are optional.
