Event description

**This event is postponed - we will provide updates the updated event date/finalised recording**

“The Australian Research Funding Landscape” is a series of workshops delivered through the UTS Aspire Program. Each workshop showcases the diversity of opportunities available to UTS researchers in attracting external research funding. In this workshop, we will explore the competitive schemes offered by the Medical Research Futures Fund (MRFF)

The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) is a $20 billion long-term investment supporting Australian health and medical research. It aims to transform health and medical research & innovation to improve lives, build the economy and contribute to health system stability.

Schemes are designed, and funds allocated against numerous priorities, missions and initiatives, making for a wide-reaching and complex array of schemes. There are 21 initiatives in total designed to harness innovation, infrastructure, patient outcomes and to generate jobs and economic growth.

This session is designed to help researchers make sense of this confusing array of funding opportunities and to identify the common threads between these funding schemes, what makes for a competitive application and what is required for planning the larger scale, translation focused program of research that the MRFF encourages.

The session will be facilitated by Katherine Waldron, Research Capability & Development Manager in the UTS Research Office.

Please note that this session will be recorded and the recording possibly uploaded as online training.
