An Individual Education Plan (IEP) is a key tool to ensure your child has access to the same educational opportunities as other students and receives the support they need to thrive.
Join us to learn how to create a meaningful IEP for your child and understand the important role you play in the process. This session will provide a detailed overview of what should be included in an IEP, how to ensure it is tailored to your child’s needs, and how to advocate for its effectiveness. A (therapist/educator) and a parent will share their insights and tips to guide you through the process.

This event is part of our four-session series brought to you by Kindred in partnership with the Early Childhood Intervention Best Practice Network (ECIBPN). The series is designed to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to build strong partnerships with your child’s school and advocate effectively to ensure their needs are met through their primary school years.
About the Speakers:
Professional
Kiandra Sciascia has extensive experience developing and implementing IEPs as a primary school teacher and Wellbeing LAST (Learning and Support Teacher) with the NSW Department of Education. Where she worked closely with parents and carers to set personalised learning goals, design curriculum adjustments, and monitor progress. Now, as an Early Intervention Teacher with Early Connections, Kiandra supports preschools to develop IEPs that enhance learning outcomes for young children.
