Tauranga City Council presents an overview of the Papamoa East Interchange project, a key strategic infrastructure project designed to unlock future growth and improve connectivity in one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing urban areas.
This session will explore the project's strategic importance, planning and delivery challenges, stakeholder engagement, and innovative project management approaches. Attendees will gain insights into how the Council navigated complex funding, environmental, and community considerations to deliver a critical piece of transport infrastructure that supports urban growth and development.
About the Presenters:
This will be presented by Chris Barton – Tauranga City Councils Infrastructure Major Projects Portfolio Director. Chris has over 15 years’ experience in delivery of major infrastructure capital works projects and programmes across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
