EVolocity Launch Day - Waikato 2025

WHAT IS EVOLOCITY

EVs are fun. They are fast. They are the future.

EVolocity is a hands-on programme where school age teams design, build then race electric vehicles. EVolocity encourages innovation and students experience sustainable engineering, electronics and programming, welding, CAD design and fabrication - while gaining real-world skills of teamwork, project management and communication. LAUNCH DAY 2025

Launch Days are hosted at the start of each year for EVolocity teams, and anyone wanting to check out what the programme's all about. This year our Waikato launch is hosted by the University of Waikato, so this is a great opportunity to bring your students for a University experience where they'll:

• Meet the EVolocity team and learn how the EVolocity program works
• Learn how to get started designing and building your own electric race vehicle
• Meet past teams and hear about their experience 
• Hear from the University of Waikato staff about study opportunities
• Tour the University campus

Can't stay for the whole time? That's okay! The event is free to attend and you'll be able to chat with our EVolocity team.

Please bring a drink bottle.

Parking

Here’s the link to the campus map - they now use PayMyPark so it’s handy to have the app already on your phone. There is General Parking available at Gate 1 off Knighton Road and Gate 10 off Silverdale Road, both locations will require a short walk.
