EVolocity Launch Day - Wellington 2025

WHAT IS EVOLOCITY

EVs are fun. They are fast. They are the future.

EVolocity is a hands-on programme where school age teams design, build then race electric vehicles. EVolocity encourages innovation and students experience sustainable engineering, electronics and programming, welding, CAD design and fabrication - while gaining real-world skills of teamwork, project management and communication. LAUNCH DAY 2025

Launch Days are hosted at the start of each year for EVolocity teams, and anyone wanting to check out what the programme's all about. This year our Wellington launch is hosted by Victoria University of Wellington. This is a great opportunity to bring your students for a VuW experience where they'll:

• Meet the EVolocity team and learn how the EVolocity program works
• Hear from the Victoria University staff about their study programmes in Science & Engineering
• Learn how to get started designing and building your own electric race vehicle
• Opportunity to tour the University campus following the presentation

Please bring a snack and a drink bottle.

Venue

Hunter Council Chamber, Victoria University of Wellington. 

The room is located in the Hunter building circled on the below map. There will be Student Ambassadors on the day to guide you to the room.

Parking

We recommend using public transport where possible. Paid on-street parking is on a first come first served basis.
