Floralia: Clay Garden Creations
Description
Welcome to Floralia, a magical universe where flowers grow from clay!
Over two days with artist Cat Guevara, we'll explore the wonderful shapes, textures and colours of the plant world. Children will learn how to extrude, throw, pinch, roll and mould clay to create petals, stems, leaves, moss and all sorts of imaginative botanical creations.
From tiny delicate petals to oversized flowers and unusual plant forms, we'll experiment with different techniques and discover how separate clay pieces can come together to create something extraordinary.
We'll finish our creations with colourful underglazes, bringing our little clay gardens to life.
No previous clay experience is needed. Just bring your imagination, curiosity and a love for getting your hands dirty!
Come back to collect your pieces between 3-4 weeks. They'll be fully glazed and waterproof.
