Unlock Your Creativity for Better Mental Health: A Must-Attend Event
Event description
"In school, everyone needs creativity. It offers an outlet to release energy and let out the rage." Student
Classrooms, workplaces, social events and even our homes — these are places where we should feel safe, valued and true to ourselves. But for many, these spaces can spark anxiety and stress instead.
With 1 in 5 Australians facing mental illness each year, the effects on general well-being and work performance are significant.
When mental health challenges arise, how do we find balance? How can we care for ourselves and support those around us — colleagues, friends, family and students — who may be struggling with overwhelm or conflict?
This event is your chance to discover creative and practical strategies to boost well-being in every area of your life. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from panelists Tasha Broomhall, Stormie Mills and Sue Waterhouse. They’ll share powerful insights on how creativity, along with clinical support when needed, can help you navigate anxiety, self-doubt and other difficult emotions.

Panelist: Stormie Mills
Stormie Mills, one of Western Australia’s most iconic artists, has navigated mental health challenges through sketchbook journalling and creative processes. Through FORM’s Creative Schools program, he has shared these techniques with young people who grapple with staying mentally healthy. For this vulnerable youth, often unable to articulate their feelings, Stormie has modelled a powerful, intuitive and practical pathway to connect with their emotions, creativity and life experiences.
Panelist: Tasha Broomhall
Tasha is the Director and Lead Facilitator for Blooming Minds WA. She has been partnering with organisations and communities throughout Australia for 15 years to develop positive cultures of mental health and wellbeing.
