Event description

It’s amazing how much tasty fruit you can grow in a small backyard!

Join us in the Dianella community garden, where local horticulturalist Scott Hitchins will show you how to select and plant fruit trees, get them pruned into the right shape, and then maintain them simply and productively. even how to fit in a lot more fruit varieties around and under your trees.

Did you know...

Dianella's community garden has its own garden club which meets every Thursday from 4pm-6pm (during school terms). All are welcome, so come along to meet other local garden lovers and learn something new! Click here to learn more about Dianella's garden club.

Please feel free to bring any surplus produce, seeds, cuttings, plants, gardening magazines etc to swap and share!

If you have any access or support questions or requirements in order to participate fully (eg. interpreter), please let us know at least two weeks prior to the event and we will be pleased to assist you. Photos will be taken at this event, but there is an option to opt out on the day.
