Want to know the secret to growing delicious fruit and veggies at home? Healthy soil is the key to happy plants and adding organic matter such as compost or worm castings to your garden is a great way to keep your soil healthy In this hands-on workshop, Jay from Edible Garden Guys will show you how to become a composting pro! We will also get our hands dirty in the community garden together to prepare the garden for spring.

Tarneit Community Learning Centre has its own community garden open to all local residents. The garden is maintained by a weekly garden club group. All are welcome on Friday mornings from 9AM - 10AM. Click here to learn more about Garden Club.

Please feel free to bring any surplus produce, seeds, cuttings, plants, gardening magazines etc to swap and share!
Please note that this is an event for Naarm/Melbourne gardeners only. If you live outside this area, please contact your council to find out what free sustainable gardening events are available locally.
If you have any access or support questions or requirements in order to participate fully (eg. interpreter), please let us know at least two weeks prior to the event and we will be pleased to assist you. Photos will be taken at this event, but there is an option to opt out on the day.
