Event description
Water is critical to a garden’s success, but gardeners need to be mindful about how this precious resource is used. As the climate changes we need to take even more care with how we capture, store, divert and use water efficiently.
Presented by Sustainable Gardening Australia, this workshop will help both you and your garden to become more waterwise. Topics covered include soil care, mulching, plant selection, garden zoning and design ideas to make the best use of available water. Options for capturing rainwater and irrigation will also be discussed, as well as how to garden on the other end of the extreme: when there is too much rain.
