Join us to celebrate the launch of Matt's Story - Adventures in AAC and Being the Boss of My Life.

This is a short video story that celebrate's Matt's communication and his autonomous life - where he is supported to have a say about decisions that affect him. 

What to expect: 

  • Free food & drinks for all guests

12pm - LAUNCH 

  • Launch of Matt's Story - short film shown on the big cinema screen
  • Quick introduction to Power to You and its FREE resources

12:30am to 2pm- LUNCH, DISPLAY and CONNECTING

  • Meet new people, create new connections
  • Share lunch
  • Chat with Matt about his adventures
  • Visit the Liberator communication display and the Liberator team. Liberator is an organisation dedicated to enabling individuals with speech and language disabilities to become successful communicators.  Matt uses a Liberator device with LAMP Words for Life
  • Access FREE capacity building resources for people with disability

    Who should attend?

    People who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication or have an interest in AAC and Human Rights 

      People with intellectual disability

      • This event has been planned with YOU in mind- our hosts are ready to welcome you, introduce you to other guests & help you get involved.
      • Anyone who requires additional support to participate is encouraged to bring along their own support person.

      Families, carers, friends

      • We would love you to come and celebrate with us and connect with other families.

      Support coordinators, support workers and other interested community members

      • Learn from the valuable lived experience of Matt and some of Power to You's co-designers.
      • Access free capacity building resources that support people with intellectual disability towards self-determination.
      • Network and create new connections.

      This is a fully catered event. Spaces are limited. All attendees (including support people) must register for your FREE ticket to attend.
