Class Description  

We will be chatting with our knife company, CCS Knife Co. on the importance of a sharpened knife, how to sharpen and what style knives are needed for different kitchen items.

Learn basic knife skills and classic kitchen cuts.  This is a hands-on class with lots of practice. Then participate in preparing 4 dishes with the prepped ingredients.  

 

What to Expect  

  • Class Time 2 Hours  

  • 4 Dishes  

  • There is lots of participation so be prepared with comfortable shoes for lots of standing time. Also please have hair pulled back  

  • Food Guidelines have various food allergens in them. Please let us know ahead of time of any food allergies and we will try our best to accommodate  

  • Cutting Boards, Knives, and Aprons, will be provided but feel free to bring your own equipment.  

  
Class Syllabus  

  • Learn about different types of knives and how each is used.  Find the right knife for you. Less is more.  

  • Learn how to hold a knife properly.  

  • Learn to Dice, Chop, Julienne, Mince and Chiffonade with confidence and speed.  

  • Prepare 5 dishes with prepped ingredients  

  • Proper care for your knives
