Monoprint
Event description
Monoprint is a printmaking medium that employs drawing and painting techniques to create unique state original prints. In this course participants will learn how to create their own suite of monoprints using the printmaking technique of drypoint - exploring different mark making methods on plastic plates and other alternative plates and/or matrices.
There will be instruction in how wipe and print plates, using water soluble oil-based inks, to give each work a unique character. Participants will learn how to print on an etching press to create their own unique state original prints.
