Natural Flora Printing for kids
Event description
Join a natural flora printing workshop with artist Becc Edwards. In this workshop, Becc will demonstrate how to make your own artwork with easily found plants and upcycled materials. We will be focusing on Eco-printing, using fine motor skills to create artwork with fabric and flora. We will also be using flora to explore printmaking with paint and pencils. This activity is suitable for children aged 6-12.
All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer for the duration of the workshop.
About Becc Edwards
Becc is a multidisciplinary artist based in Naarm, on Wurundjeri land. Being an animal lover, native flora and fauna has always been the main inspiration for Becc’s work. While studying at LCI Melbourne, Becc discovered the joy of eco printing and has made the art a large part of her practice. She uses gum leaves found by the Werribee River to create textile works. Becc is also currently working on a collection of illustrations of native animals, to raise awareness of the importance of green spaces for both people and animals.
