    Event description

***Kindly note that this walk has been designed to promote fitness and will require "some" fitness to finish. We like to keep a moderate pace during our walks, completing 7 kilometres in slightly over two hours. DEFINITELY NOT a power walk, however there will be some inclines, steps and elevation. Therefore, we suggest that you carefully review all event information and ensure that you can keep up with the group. If you don't engage in any physical activity during the week or lead a sedentary lifestyle, our walk may not be appropriate for you at this stage***

Embark on an exhilarating journey to the very tip of the Mornington Peninsula!

Discover Fort Nepean, a historic stronghold that safeguarded Melbourne during both World Wars. Perched at the peninsula's tip, where Port Phillip's tranquil waters clash with the Southern Ocean's wild waves, this fort boasts an extensive tunnel network linking its historic gun emplacements.

Experience life as a soldier once stationed here, exploring a site that was vital to Victoria's defence from the 1880s until 1945.

Join us on a captivating 7km loop through Point Nepean National Park. It's the perfect way to stretch your legs, rack up the kilometres, and soak in breathtaking views of Bass Strait.
