Repair Day- Clothing Repair Station
Event description
Do you have a piece of clothing that is damaged or worn, too long or tight? Book in a 30 min session with Fiona to get it fixed.
Fiona will mend hems, sew on buttons/ press studs or hook and eyes, take up clothing that is too long and repair simple rips or holes in garments using visible or invisible mending techniques. Due to time constraints, she cannot replace zips
We can show you how to mend or make minor repairs to clothes you've brought from home or picked up from Re Place -skills that you can use again and again to save loved but damaged items from landfill.
Where: RePlace (towards the middle of the site on the right as you enter the Inner west Sustainability Hub from Prospect Rd). Look for our signage.
Accessibility: If you have any access or support requirements in order to participate fully please let us know. The site is accessible via paved pathways with a slight slope from street to buildings.
Who: This service is provided free to residents of the Inner West local government area. This service is presented by the Green Living Centre, an initiative of Inner West Council. As numbers are limited, the service is only available to residents of Inner West Council area. Search by address at Find Your Local Council - Office of Local Government NSW website to find your local government area, if you're unsure. Proof of residential address will be required.
