Event description

Seed Collection sessions:

Interested in how to collect native seed? Come join us for a guided seed collection session. 

Each session will include:

  • Introductory briefing covering guidelines for seed collection, best practice methodologies for sustainable harvest, permit requirements and genetic and environmental considerations.
  • Walk through of site, collecting ripe seed where appropriate. 
  • Information on how to handle and store seeds (including seed cleaning/processing at end of session if time allows!)

These sessions will be a great opportunity to learn and practice plant ID skills and learn about plant reproduction and seed development!

Our Seed Collection sessions will be available on:

  • Friday May 2 from 8 to 10 am
  • Friday May 30 from 8 to 11 am

The location of each seed collection session will be advised closer to the event date.

Capacity is limited so get in quick to book your spot!

What to wear: Please wear sun-safe clothing and enclosed shoes
What to bring: Don't forget to bring a water bottle and hat
