Event description

It's time for our Wild Winter Woollies Workshop! This one is all about using old jumpers or T-shirts to make a scarf, beanie or fingerless gloves. We will be using overlockers for the main construction technique of these projects, so some experience on an overlocker is expected.

You are most welcome to bring any old jumpers in particular that you would like to upcycle; however, all materials are provided.

You can also bring your own overlocker if you have one, or you're welcome to use one of ours.

Please Note: Here at Upcycle Newcastle we use circular economy principles. This means we will be using recycled and reclaimed fabrics and haberdashery items for our sewing workshops. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
