Religious Trauma & Therapist Power Dynamics
Event description
This continuing education course for mental health providers will help therapists understand the possible impacts of power dynamics in their work with survivors of religious trauma. This information is also applicable to work with those who have experienced abuse in other types of high-control situations.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify at least 3 ways power dynamics may present in the therapeutic relationship
- Describe at least 2 ways to approach power dynamics with a trauma-aware lens
