Shakti Mat Workshop with Jak Tazzar
Event description
A St Andrew's Wellbeing Centre program for Members.
This workshop provides you with the chance to learn how to integrate the Shakti Mat into your daily life to provide that support to body and mind.
A Shakti Mat is an acupressure mat made of thousands of tiny, sharp spikes designed to provide relaxation, relieve stress and muscle tension, improve sleep, and enhance overall wellbeing by stimulating pressure points on the body.
Lying, sitting or standing on the mat will stimulate nerve endings on the skin triggering the body's natural pain-relief and happiness hormones like endorphins and serotonin, which can help balance cortisol levels and alleviate anxiety.
NOTE: It is advisable not to book if you are pregnant or on blood thinning medication.
