Step into Aged Care Volunteering - Free information session for community members (18+) interested in aged care volunteering.
Gift your time, care and skills to support older community members!
The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) providers entry-level support for older people who need some help to stay living at home and engaging in the community.
Volunteers support older people to maintain their independence, health and wellness.
Topics Covered:
- Benefits of volunteering
- CHSP and the services available to older people
- Finding CHSP volunteer opportunities
- Boundaries, Rights and Responsibilities
- Aged care 'Code of Conduct'
- Self-care strategies as a volunteer
Certificate of Attendance and a light lunch will be provided.
