About the Speaker:

James Blair is a senior digital and cybersecurity executive with over two decades of leadership experience delivering complex transformation projects across the energy, infrastructure, and public sectors in New Zealand and Australia. As Group Manager Technology & CISO at Todd Corporation, he leads enterprise-wide programmes that align IT and security strategy with business objectives, enabling resilience, innovation, and operational excellence.

 James has led major programmes including the Todd Energy Digital Transformation, a multi-year initiative that delivered measurable IT value, streamlined operations, and uplifted cybersecurity for critical infrastructure. He oversaw Day 1–ready systems integration for the Kapuni and Swift Energy acquisitions, ensuring seamless business continuity. His portfolio also includes strategic roles in Origin Energy’s Digital Gasfield and the A$40B Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project’s telecommunications programme — all delivered on time, within budget, and with clear business impact.

A regular contributor to national security dialogues, James has presented at CISO New Zealand 2024 and is a member of the CISOs Connect™ community. He holds a Master’s and Graduate Certificate in Management (Information Technology) from Charles Sturt University, along with diplomas in Business Management and Marketing.
