What to expect:

• Learn how to choose the right plants for your school’s bush tucker garden, considering land type and space available, understanding plant names, uses and how to care for and harvest
• Develop a deeper understanding about how these plants connect with local languages and cultural practices
• Ask questions on how to get the most out of the bush tucker garden at your school
• Connect with local teachers, share ideas and get inspired!

We are grateful to welcome Bobbie Pepper who holds the schools cluster and education portfolio at Taungurung Land and Waters Council to share her knowledge and passion with us. Bobbie has created bush tucker gardens in local schools and brings a breadth of experience to share with local teachers.

This event is designed to support teachers, educators and staff involved in sustainability in their schools across the Macedon Ranges, Loddon Mallee and Hume regions.
