Thu, 7 Aug, 6am - 7am EDT

Event description

As they grow, many autistic children begin to ‘mask’ their true selves—hiding their traits to fit in, avoid judgment, or meet the expectations of the world around them. It can be easy to miss, but the emotional toll is real.

In this follow-up to our webinar: Understanding Masking, we’ll unpack how to better understand and support your child as they navigate a world that doesn’t always make it easy to be themselves.

In this peer group we’ll explore
• What masking looks like in everyday life
• How to recognise when your child might be masking
• The impact masking can have on wellbeing and identity
• How to nurture a sense of safety, connection, and self-acceptance

This group is facilitated by Kristy
Kristy is a proud mum to Dash, who is Autistic and has ADHD, just like his mum. She’s passionate about connecting with other families and celebrating neurodivergent joy and all the strengths that come with thinking differently.
