Under 8yrs: Their Sensory World: Virtual Autism MyTime
Event description
Does your child respond intensely to lights, sounds, textures, or movement?
You’re not alone, and gaining insight into sensory processing can help you support your child’s unique way of engaging with the world.
Whether your child seeks, avoids, or fluctuates in their sensory needs, we’ll explore ways to honour their preferences. Join us to discuss how neurodivergent children interact with their environments through their senses and how we can connect with them through curiosity and compassion.
In this peer group, we’ll explore
What a sensory profile is and how it helps us better understand our children
Different sensory patterns and how they might show up
Practical, affirming strategies to meet your child’s sensory needs in everyday life
This peer group is facilitated by Kristy
Kristy is a proud mum to Dash, who is Autistic and has ADHD, just like his mum. She’s passionate about connecting with other families and celebrating neurodivergent joy and all the strengths that come with thinking differently.
