Autumn Seasonal Cooking Classes: Pickles & Kimchi Workshops

Join us for an immersive, hands-on experience in sustainable cooking at our zero-waste kitchen, nestled in the heart of the iconic Queen Victoria Market at the Purpose Precinct. This two-hour workshop series, led by our Eco-Chef, will inspire you with practical skills that turn food destined for the FOGO bin into long-lasting, delicious creations.
Class 1: Pickles, Pickles, Pickles
Autumn is the perfect time to explore the magic of pickling! In this workshop, you'll learn how to transform over 30 different fruits and vegetables into tasty pickled treats. It's the ideal way to reduce food waste while creating shelf-stable goodies you can enjoy for months.
What you can expect:

Class 2: Everything Kimchi
This class will teach you how to create your own delicious, tangy Kimchi using seasonal ingredients. It’s a fun, interactive experience that will expand your knowledge of fermentation and give you the tools to make this Korean staple at home.

🗓️ When: First & Third Saturdays of the month, beginning April 2025
📍 Where: Moving Feast Kitchen at the Purpose Precinct, Queen Victoria Market (20-21 Shed F, Peel St entrance)
⏰ Time: 10am – 12pm (each workshop lasts 2 hours)
