An enriching program of hands on learning for children from 5-12 years growing food and flowers at our organic farm, including natural pest management, composting, worm farms, and propagating.
Welcome to Green Thumb Homeschooling Program, where young minds blossom through hands-on learning at our inspiring organic community farm! Tailored for children aged 5-12 (and a supervising adult), our program offers a unique blend of experiential learning and gardening activities. Children will learn the art of cultivating food and flowers, fostering a deep connection with nature from an early age.
Term 1 Dates: Wednesday 14th Feb - 27th March, 2024. (7 week term)
Program:
9.30 Let's run through the day - get tools out all ready to go!
9.45 Garden session 1 - hands on gardening session growing food and flowers at our organic farm including natural pest management, composting and worm farms.
10.30 morning tea
10.45 Skills session - including working in our nursery, recipe planning from food we've grown, nature journalling, seed saving
11.30 Time to connect - as we share our shared learnings for the day
12.00 Wrap up - be proud of what you've achieved!

What to bring:
- Please wear closed shoes

Parking:
Free onsite parking. Take the turn off from Mt Samson Rd, into Green Thumb Farm. Take the first turn to the left which leads you past a little red building and there you will see the parking area.
