Description

ADHD impacts every part of a person's life, including their relationships. This often shows up in therapy - either as part of a person's presenting concerns or within the therapeutic relationship.

This continuing education course for mental health professionasls examines the intersections of ADHD and relational trauma.  We’ll take a look at how relational trauma may impact an ADHDer throughout life, how that can show up in therapy, and important treatment considerations in working with these concerns.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Distinguish the medical model approach to neurodivergence from the neurodiversity paradigm approach

  • Identify diagnostic criteria for ADHD using both the medical model and the neurodiversity paradigm

  • Summarize at least 3 ways that relational trauma may intersect with ADHD

  • Identify important treatment considerations in working with ADHD and relational trauma

Any questions or accommodation requests should be directed to Michelle F Moseley, LCHMC via email at owner@michellefmoseley.com

Everyone who registers for the training will receive 30-day access to the recordings, provided approximately 48-72 hours after the training ends.

You must attend the live training, and complete the NBCC required evaluation, in order to receive CE credits.
