Introduction to Neurodivergence
Description
This continuing education course for mental health professionasls offers an introduction to neurodivergence and neuro-affirming practices. The is an introductory training and is designed for those who may have little (or no) education / experience around neurodivergence or who are curious about learning more.
If you keep hearing terms like “neurodivergence”, “neurodiverse”, of “neurodivergent-affirming therapy” and aren’t really sure what that means, this training is for you!
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
Define neurodivergence and list at least 4 examples
Describe the difference between the medical model of understanding mental health and the neurodiversity paradigm of understanding mental health
Examine the ways their clinical practice can be adjusted to be more neuro-affirming

Everyone who registers for the training will receive 30-day access to the recordings, provided approximately 48-72 hours after the training ends.
You must attend the live training, and complete the NBCC required evaluation, in order to receive CE credits.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Michelle F. Moseley, LCMHC (she/her) is a licensed mental health counselor located in North Carolina, USA. She specializes in providing trauma-informed and neuro-affirming care with a focus on complex relational trauma. Michelle brings both her clinical expertise and her lived experience with late-identified Autism to this training.
Michelle F. Moseley Counseling, PLLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7712. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Michelle F. Moseley Counseling, PLLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
