Description

Relational trauma often includes an abuse of power. Being aware of power dynamics in the therapeutic relationship is an important part of ethical, trauma-responsive care.

This continuing education course for mental health professionasls will help therapists understand the potential impacts of power dynamics in their work with survivors of relational trauma.  We will examine what various ethical codes say and take a look at how these power dynamics show up throughout the therapeutic experience.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Identify at least 3 ways power dynamics may present in the therapeutic relationship

  • Describe at least 2 ways to approach power dynamics with a trauma-responsive lens

  • Identify at least 3 special considerations related to therapist power dynamics when working with survivors of relational trauma

Any questions or accommodation requests should be directed to Michelle F Moseley, LCHMC via email at owner@michellefmoseley.com

Everyone who registers for the training will receive 30-day access to the recordings, provided approximately 48-72 hours after the training ends.

You must attend the live training, and complete the NBCC required evaluation, in order to receive CE credits.
