Description

High-control dynamics can exist in any kind of group - from a family to a large company - and the impacts can inflluence the therapeutic relationship.

This continuing education course for mental health professionasls offers an overview of common themes that are present within high-control groups.  The information covered in this course applies to a variety of high-control groups ranging from family units to political organizations to religious groups to MLMs.


Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Identify at least 3 characteristics of high-control groups

  • Describe at least 3 ways that high-control groups can impact members

  • Utilize therapeutic skills to broach the subject of high-control themes with clients

Everyone who registers for the training will receive 30-day access to the recordings, provided approximately 48-72 hours after the training ends.

You must attend the live training, and complete the NBCC required evaluation, in order to receive CE credits.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Michelle F. Moseley, LCMHC (she/her) is a licensed mental health counselor located in North Carolina, USA. She specializes in providing trauma-informed and neuro-affirming care with a focus on complex relational trauma, with a particular focus on trauma that occurs within high-control groups. Michelle brings both her clinical expertise and her lived experience to this training.
