RISO & ZINE Revival: Intro to Risograph Printing
Event description
Risograph printing is experiencing a renaissance in art-making–and for good reason!
The Riso printing process is best described as "digital screen-printing" and was widely used as a cost-effective, fast, and environmentally sustainable way to make print copies when first introduced in the 80s. Join us in creating your own set of Risograph prints and zines, experimenting with vivid color layering, and learn about Risograph's involvement in alternative publication & zine culture.
In this class we will engage in different methods of creating zines, learn how to layer colors for a Risograph duplicating press (important knowledge for screen-printing as well), and reproduce as many copies of your artwork or zine to take home or circulate into the zine-world. Embrace the vivid colors & visual quirks of Risograph printing in our RISO & ZINE Revival Workshop!
