Description

This continuing education course for mental health providers will explore the intersection of neurodivergence and religious trauma. This course provides 2.75 NBCC-approved CE credit hours.

This training is for you it:

you want to learn more about neurodivergence (inclusive of and beyond ADHD and Autism)
the topics of religious trauma and/or neurodivergence are new(er) to you
you are interested in learning more about intersections of neurodivergence and complex / relational trauma

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

Define neurodivergence and list at least 4 examples
Describe how neurodivergence may intersect with a person’s experience of religion / spirituality
Describe how religious trauma may impact neurodivergent folks
Identify at least 3 neurodivergent-affirming approaches to treating religious trauma

30-day access to a recording of this training will be provided to all who register. CE credit is only available for live attendance.

Refund policy

All cancellations must be made via email sent to owner@michellefmoseley.com and will not be considered complete until the Provider acknowledges receipt of the email. If a registrant cancels more than four (4) weeks prior to the scheduled CE Program, they are eligible for a 75% refund of the cost. If a registrant cancels less than four (4) weeks prior to the scheduled CE Program, there will be no refund given for the cost of the event. In the case of a registrant needing to cancel less than four (4) weeks prior to the event, the registrant may have the option to transfer their registration to a comparable event (if available). The availability of this option will be determined by the Provider based on scheduling and registration numbers for any future programs. If the Provider must reschedule the CE Program for any reason, registrants will be offered the opportunity to attend the rescheduled date, to attend a comparable event (if available), or to have their fee refunded in full (minus payment processing fees). Should the provider need to cancel the CE Program completely, registrants will be refunded the fee for the event (minus payment processing fees).

Who is Michelle F. Moseley?

Michelle F. Moseley, LCMHC, NCC, BC-TMH (she/her) is a licensed mental health counselor in NC, USA. She specializes in working with those who have experienced spiritual abuse or other religious harm and with folks who find themselves navigating faith shifts. She has lived experience of spiritual abuse and religious trauma, and has invested 1000s of hours of clinical work providing both individual and group counseling services related to healing from spiritual harm.

Michelle's work also includes a focus on body image concerns and body disconnection, from an approach that is HAES-aligned (Health at Every Size) and weight-inclusive. Additionally, Michelle's clinical work includes providing neuro-affirming counseling and assessment services and finds herself frequently working with later-identified neurodivergent women (often working with ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD neurotypes).

In addition to clinical work, Michelle provides educational workshops and trainings to community groups and (as of 2026) is working on 2 publications related to religious trauma.
